Dinner, Low Sodium


Based on 8 (1 cup each) servings per recipe.

  • 1 1/2 pounds (24 ounces) ground turkey
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1/2 cup rice
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can no salt added tomatoes (do not drain)


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Cook turkey, green peppers, and onion in a skillet.
  3. When the turkey is almost cooked and vegetables are tender (about 10-15 minutes), add chili powder, rice and tomatoes.
  4. Pour mixture into a medium casserole dish and cover with foil.
  5. Bake in oven for 40 minutes or 60 minutes if using brown rice.
