Based on serving is 1 tablespoon servings per recipe.
- 1 cup low sodium soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons Sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons Sake or Mirin (Chinese sweet rice wine)
- 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
- 3 Garlic cloves, crushed
- 1/4 teaspoon (or 2 slices) Ground ginger (or fresh ginger root)
- Use light soy sauce or make your own (linked here). Watch for potassium added in some very low sodium sauces
Combine all ingredients in a sauce pan and heat until sugar is dissolved.
Store in the refrigerator.
