Simple White Sauce
Sauces, Vegetarian, Low Phosphorus, Low Potassium, Low Protein, Low Sodium
Based on 4 servings per recipe.
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 tablespoons margarine or Unsalted butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh or 1 teaspoon dried parsley, basil, or other herbs
Mix flour and margarine or butter together in a 2 cup glass measuring cup or small microwave-safe bowl.
Microwave for 30 seconds, stir, microwave another 30 seconds.
Add cream and spices and stir.
Microwave 1 minute, stir again.
Microwave 1 minute.
If not thickened, add 1 more minute.
