- 1 6 ounce packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons brown sugar, packed and divided
- 1 quart fresh strawberries
In bowl, beat cream cheese with electric mixer until fluffy.
Add sour cream and two tablespoons brown sugar; beat till smooth.
Reserve 1 berry for garnish; halve remaining berries and arrange evenly in bottom of a shallow 8-inch round broiler-proof dish.
Spoon cream mixture over berries.
Sprinkle remaining 1/4 cup brown sugar evenly over cream mixture.
Broil 4 to 5 inches from heat for 1 to 2 minutes or until sugar turns golden brown.
Slice reserved berry; arrange atop dessert.
