Fragrant & Flavorful Basmati Rice

Ingredients

Based on 8 servings per recipe.

  • 1 tablespoon Unsalted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground cardamom
  • 1 clove Garlic, minced
  • 1 cup White basmati rice
  • 1 2/3 cups Low sodium chicken broth

Preparation

  1. Heat butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add spices and garlic.
  3. Saute for 1 minute.
  4. Add rice and stir until coated with butter and spices.
  5. Add chicken broth.
  6. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low.
  7. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
