Hear from our patients, volunteers and financial supporters in our 2016 annual report

nkc-ar-16-coverIt’s been a good year! Our 2016 annual report notes that with help from our generous community, Northwest Kidney Centers served more people with serious kidney disease than ever before. Of course, that brings up mixed feelings: we are proud to be here to provide excellent renal replacement therapy, and we long for the day when shared knowledge and scientific advances make dialysis a thing of the past.

To that end, we held free kidney education classes in many locations throughout King County, and got rolling with exciting activities in our initiative to curb diabetes, the single leading cause of kidney disease among our patients.

Besides patient care and education, the other leg of our three-part mission is research. This year brought encouraging news from our Kidney Research Institute, a true powerhouse where innovation and discovery are happening every day.

You’ll find details on all of that activity in the annual report. In addition to the news of the year, please linger over the stories of our patients who cope with the demands of a difficult chronic disease, and our volunteers and financial supporters who work shoulder to shoulder with staff to help carry out our mission. We know you’ll be inspired, as we are.
