In Memory of Samir R. Sarieddine

1937 - 2014

Samir R. Sarieddine

Samir R. Sarieddine passed away at his Bellevue home with his family near on Oct. 23, 2014. He was born in Guinea Bissau in 1937 to Lebanese parents, Rachid and Samia. Rachid was a very successful businessman there for many years but when “Sam” was 6, he and his mother had to return to Lebanon for his schooling. Later, he graduated from the University of London as an aeronautical engineer.

He was a founding partner in CMC, one of the earliest and most highly regarded oil field services companies in the world. They were at one time the largest private fleet owners of the massive Kenworth 953 oil field trucks. All the major oil companies of the world came to them for their rig moves. Sam also worked closely with Kenworth engineers in the design of the C500, one of their best-selling trucks today.

In 1982 he retired to be with his family. Attending his sons’ high school and college football games delighted him. He was truly our patriarch and will be deeply mourned.

Sam leaves behind his beloved wife, Mechele, sons Raja, Ramzi, Rabih (Maya), Sacha (Sarah) and Salem (Ashley). He had 7 adored grandchildren and much loved brothers Sa’ad (Lina), Sami (Rima), and his sister Sarah (Sami), and many cherished nieces and nephews.
