In Memory of Wayne Lannoye

1965 - 2015

Wayne Lannoye

Wayne Lannoye, 50, of East Wenatchee, Wash. died Thursday, Dec. 17, 2015 at his home after a valiant battle with cancer. Wayne was born and raised in East Wenatchee. Wayne obtained his auto mechanic skills while working at his grandfather Forest Lannoye’s Eastside garage alongside his father. He graduated from Eastmont High School in 1983 where he was selected to the 1983 All-State High School All-Star baseball team and played on the American Legion team for years. He then attended Wenatchee Valley College where he met his love of his life, Geneise, his wife of 28.5 years.

From fishing in the ocean with his family for salmon and halibut, to hunting mule deer and big game, Wayne was passionate about the outdoors. He had a natural instinct when it came to hunting yet there are no words to put into perspective of how accomplished and proud he was of his success and that of his family’s hunting successes. Wayne wanted to spread his wealth of knowledge with everyone and wanted them to feel his excitement for the great outdoors.

Anyone who ever met Wayne would know that he was a kind, gentle, giving man who loved to hunt (to say the least) fish, camp and be with his daughters. As everyone who knew Wayne, knows he did everything anything to life’s fullest potential every day. He will be hugely missed, but his impact will continue to be felt every day by those who knew and loved him.
