In Memory of Mary Rita Mosure

Mary Rita (Mooney) Mosure (84), born in Somerset, Ohio, died in Woodinville, Washington, on September 2, 2019, from kidney failure and cancer with her daughters by her side. Rita is preceded in death by her husband, Duane Mosure, brother, Patrick Mooney and sister-in-law, Margaret Mooney. She is deeply missed by her daughters: Amy (Tom) Numrych, Melissa (Ian) Reeve, Jennifer (Steve) Core and Rebecca (Terry) Kawahara, grandchildren, family and friends.

Rita was a graduate of Holy Trinity School and Saint Mary of the Springs College, Ohio. She worked for many years as a dietitian in food service and retried after 21 years as a food service manager at Northern Illinois University. Rita was active in professional and social organizations and served on the resident counsel at her retirement community. Rita enjoyed cooking; entertaining; pottery; gardening; shopping and traveling. She was proud of her Irish heritage. Rita made many good memories for her children and grandchildren and their lives are richer because of her.

Rita relocated to Woodinville 10 years ago and since that time she received exceptional care from the doctors and staff at Northwest Kidney Centers Kirkland clinic. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of Northwest Kidney Centers for the care and love they gave Rita. A funeral mass followed by the burial of Rita and Duane’s ashes will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Somerset, Ohio, on June 20, 2020.
