The Clinical Informatics Manager plays a key role in identifying opportunities for health information technology to be used to the benefit of NKC and its customers and for building consensus for the adoption and implementation of such technologies. The ability to relate to all levels of management and staff, both within the organization and without, in a professional, constructive manner as necessary to achieve departmental and Organizational goals is required. Ability to make critical decisions and exercises independent judgment. Forecast trends and help set the direction for NKC with respect to Information Technology and participate in planning with senior level management; and make program decisions that frequently have major impacts on the entire healthcare operation.
The Clinical Informatics Manager is responsible for providing vision and management to the department of Clinical Informatics; including implementation, training, and support of clinical systems, HIE/Crown Web and NHSN data submission systems and assistance with NKC’s Billing systems as they interface with NKC’s Electronic Medical Records. Working with the CIO, this position is responsible to lead the work with care partners – including ESCO partners – and other outside groups regarding data integration, EMR access for non-NKC employees.
The position supervises the Clinical Informatics staff. It is responsible for providing assistance to medical staff throughout NKC on Clinical Information System matters. The position is responsible to the VP of Information Services. Self-direction, strong organizational skills and the ability to work unsupervised are required.
Five years clinical nursing required, prefer at least 2 years of supervisory nursing experience. You must have a valid WA State driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, and ability to travel to all of NKC’s facilities. Must obtain current CPR card within 90 days of hire and maintain.
8:00AM-4:30PM, Mon-Fri. BA/BS required, BSN preferred. Must have mgnt. skills, health info tech knowledge, analytics and data skills. WA RN lic. req. WA drivers lic. & proof of inc. req. Local travel.
