Bone Disease

The process of bone disease is very long and slow. You may not be aware of any problems right away, but there are some signs. Check the ones you have noticed.

  • Abnormal blood values for phosphorus, calcium, or parathyroid hormone.
  • Itching.
  • Joint and bone pain.
  • Calcium deposits (painless hard or soft lumps) under your skin.
  • Bones that break easily.

If you have any of these symptoms, you may be developing bone disease. There are several things you can do to prevent or correct this. Controlling your phosphorus intake is one of them. What things in your diet will you need to change?
