Now that you know how many protein servings you need, try planning a day's menu. For example, if you weigh 80 kilograms you need 8 protein servings. Your daily menu could include the following animal protein foods (protein foods are capitalized).

 

MORNING PROTEIN SERVINGS

Coffee
Orange juice
FRIED EGGS (2)
Toast with margarine
Cornflakes
MILK (1/2 c)

1/2 serving
NOON

Lemonade
TUNA (1/4 cups) AND
SWISS CHEESE SANDWICH (1 slice)
Carrot sticks
Oatmeal cookies
Apple

EVENING

Coffee
FRIED CHICKEN (1 drumstick & thigh)
   (includes 1/4 c beans)
Cornbread with margarine
Green salad with dressing
Lemon meringue pie
