If you like, you can mix and match them to make up your one serving a day. For example, suppose you chose milk, bran cereal, and beans. Your menu for one day might be (high-phosphorus foods are capitalized):

MORNING PHOSPHORUS SERVINGS

Coffee
Grapefruit juice
Fried eggs
Toast with margarine
BRAN CEREAL (1/2 c)
MILK (1/4 c)

NOON

Lemonade
Tuna sandwich
Carrot sticks
Sugar cookies

This sample menu uses the foods chosen in smaller servings without going over the daily limit of one serving of a high-phosphorus food a day.
