If you are limiting these foods to control your phosphorus level, you
won't be getting much saturated fat. Check which of these low calorie ideas you will
try:
- Use nonfat or 1% milk. Even 2% milk is a better
choice than whole milk or cream for drinking or on cereal.
- Use "light" (lower calorie) coffee
creamers instead of regular.
- Use low-fat cheese and cottage cheese; low- or
non-fat yogurt.
- Choose sherbet, frozen yogurt, or ice milk
instead of ice cream.
- Try "light" sour cream and cream
cheese.
