Renal Fellow Grants
A critical shortage of nephrologists is expected in the near future. To help ensure patients are well served, funding is provided to local hospitals to support the cost of training nephrology "fellows," physicians who specialize in the care of patients with kidney problems.
Faculty Support
Financial support for physician faculty is distributed to the Division of Nephrology at the University of Washington to ensure strong local academic programs.
Kidney Research Funding
Research is required to advance knowledge and discover better treatments and cures for kidney disease. Through the research grant program, the Northwest Kidney Centers funds research at Washington State institutions.
