Every day the Northwest Kidney Centers help patients all over our region manage their Chronic Kidney disease. While a diagnosis can of CKD be overwhelming, we are here to help you sort through your options and give you the information and care you need to keep living your best life.

There are certain actions you can take that will help you manage your condition and continue living the life you choose.

• Decide what kind of dialysis (hemodialysis or peritoneal) will work best for your schedule and medical needs. This will keep you involved in your regular activities while taking the best care of your condition. Discuss what your options are with your doctor and family, and use the many tools our centers offer to help you make the best and most informed choice for your treatment.

• Learning as much as you can about your treatment will help you manage your CKD. This website offers many different ideas for care, including recipes, exercise options and contact information for support groups.

• Discuss your medications with your physician, and always stick to your dosage schedule. Jot down any questions that come up so you’ll have a list to talk about at your next physician’s appointment.
