Giving Options

There are many ways you can help kidney patients living in the Pacific Northwest with a gift of financial support.

Your generosity makes an enormous difference in the lives of people living with kidney failure.

Cash Gifts
Cash gifts can be an outright gift or pledged over a period of time. 

Memorial and Tribute Gifts
Memorials and Tributes are a special way to honor a friend or loved one. A card is sent to the honoree or the honoree's family, and is also acknowledged in our annual report. To make a gift, contact the Foundation. 

Matching Gifts
Matching gifts can double the size of your gift. Hundreds of Pacific Northwest employers provide this benefit. Check with your company's Human Resources Office.

Monthly Giving/Silver Lining Society
Members of the Silver Lining Society make monthly donations to the Northwest Kidney Centers. Gifts can be made by check or automatically charged to your credit card. Monthly donations can allow a donor to make a more significant gift over the course of the year. Workplace Giving
The ease of payroll deduction makes workplace giving is a simple way to give to NKC. Many private companies and public organizations conduct charitable giving campaigns. NKC participates in many campaigns including City of Seattle Combined Charities Campaign, the King County Employee Giving Program Campaign, Washington State Employees Combined Fund Drive and Combined Federal Campaign. In addition, United Way campaigns will allow you to designate your gift to NKC. In-Kind Gifts
Products and services can be valuable donations to NKC. Examples of in-kind gifts include blankets for our low-income patients, auction items or laptops for our patient Internet access program. Please call our office at (206) 292-5351 or email us at NKCFoundation@nwkidney.org to determine if we can utilize your intended donation.

Stocks and Bonds
Gifts of appreciated securities enable you to make a significant gift and may provide an added tax advantage. Call the Foundation office at (206) 292-5351 or email us at NKCFoundation@nwkidney.org for more information or instructions on stock transfer.

Bequests
Legacy giving through your will is the simplest way to ensure the future of NKC for years to come. You can designate a specific amount, or a percentage of your estate. NKC can also be made the beneficiary of life insurance policies. NKC can provide free, confidential assistance with estate planning.
