Volunteer Positions

Northwest Kidney Centers welcomes the contributions of volunteers to support our mission and programs.

People of all ages are invited to apply for volunteer positions within the following program areas: administrative, events, health and community fairs, and speakers bureau.

Car buddies must be at least 18 years of age. Community dialysis center and laptop volunteers must be at least 16.

We request a minimum commitment of at least 3 months.

To become a volunteer:

1. Contact the program manager by phone or email (see below).
2. Complete a volunteer application packet.
3. Schedule an interview with the program manager.
4. Consent to a Washington State Patrol background check, national background check, and reference check.
5. Consent to tuberculosis screening.

Northwest Kidney Centers keeps people in the Seattle area alive with dialysis care, educates the public about kidney health, and collaborates with UW Medicine in the Kidney Research Institute. We are one of very few community-based, nonprofit dialysis providers in the country. Founded in 1962, ours was the first out-of-hospital dialysis program in the world and it is still a model in the field.
